My Story
I’m a UX/UI / Graphic Designer that grew up at the Jersey Shore. I studied Architecture for 2 years at Brookdale community college and then moved to Philadelphia to study Architecture in their undergrad and graduate program. There I received two Bachelor of Science degrees in Architectural Design and Architectural Preservation and a master’s degree in Architecture. Throughout school I always found myself loving the design process and creating presentations for my works. Outside of my architecture classes I tried to take as many art classes as I could at Tyler’s School of Art. Once I graduated I found myself working for an architecture firm in Philly and started to not feel the same way about architecture I had while in school. I thrived in a creative environment and didn't enjoy the technical side of architecture. In my free time I was always drawing and creating to make up for not doing it at work.
Once the pandemic hit I was furloughed from my architecture job since I had been the last member added on and took it as a sign to explore things I really enjoyed. I discovered Coursera and saw a UX/UI and Graphic Design classes that sounded interesting. I had taken a class on this subject in grad school and really enjoyed it and thought it would be worth a try. I loved how UX/UI and Graphic Design brought my love of creating for users and design that had excited me when studying architecture. Ever since I have been taking as many classes in the subject as I could and have been loving the process. I’m excited to branch into this new career and this new designing journey!
